The City of Great Falls Park and Recreation Department is preparing for a summer full of activities in the second largest city in Montana, just behind Billings. Great Falls offers several activities for just about everyone. The city has 56 developed parks, ten undeveloped parks, 44 miles of trails and over 36,000 trees. The 27,000 square foot Riverside Rail Yard Skate Park in Great Falls is considered one of the top skate parks in the Pacific Northwest. There is never a shortage of things to do in Great Falls in the summer, with over 900 summer programs taking place serving multiple age groups. The city's recreation center serves more than 80,000 residents and visitors annually. Popular local events include the Pet and Doll Parade, attracting nearly 1,000 spectators each year.
