Great Falls Events & Festivals

When in Great Falls, you certainly will want to check out the many events that take place throughout the year. No matter what time of year you plan to visit Great Falls, you are likely to find something to enjoy. The events and activities held throughout the year in Great Falls are an excellent way for friends and family to get together and enjoy the small town values and fun that this charming town is known for!

There are many other Great Falls events that take place throughout the year, including the Star Party that takes place each and every month and allows the opportunity to truly enjoy the amenities of living in Big Sky country by gazing up at the stars overhead. This event is ideal whether you want to enjoy something educational with your kids or you are looking for something romantic to do with that special someone. During the holidays, the Christmas Stroll and Parade of Lights is one of the most popular activities in Great Falls, MT. The entire downtown area comes alive for this annual event, which includes live entertainment, food vendors and even a Santa's Village. In January it may be winter time but it's still rodeo time when the Montana PRCA Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals take place. For three decades, the rodeo finals have been held at the State Fairgrounds in Great Falls. Grab your boots and get ready for some old-fashioned Western fun and entertainment.

There are also many Great Falls events which focus around the city's reputation as an artist's mecca as well, including the C.M. Russell Auction & Exhibitor's Show, which is named after the well known cowboy artist. Two major auctions are held during the event as well as an artist exhibitor room that features more than 100 artists. Other artistic events held in the spring include the Western Heritage Artists Association Art Show as well as the Great Falls Native American Art Show.

Any of these Great Falls festival events is ideal for an enjoyable afternoon. You may even decide to enter one of the events. If so, you will not find a friendlier group of folks to welcome you. From live entertainment to food vendors to arts and crafts, the many events and festivals held throughout the year in Great Falls will ensure that your trip to the area is as entertaining and enjoyable as possible.
