This event will take you past some of the more impressive Great Falls, Montana real estate and into the beautiful countryside surrounding the town.

What is National Trial Day and how is it celebrated in Great Falls?

National Trail Day is celebrated June 5. Across the nation, this is a day promoted by national and state parks, urging citizens to come get closer to nature and experience the natural beauty of the world. In Great Falls, Montana, you will find that National Trail Day is a real experience. You can choose from numerous events to attend in town. You will find hikes that take place at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park, as well as at Tower Rock State Park. Sulphur Spring Trailhead is home to another hike, and there is another at Benton Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Finally, you will find the Rainbow Dam complex and Rainbow Waterfall are part of the festivities, too.

Some of these hikes will take you into the stunning countryside around Great Falls. However, other hikes will take you past some historic Great Falls, Montana real estate, such as the historic district of town and the famed railroad district, as well. As a note, the River’s Edge Trail event is actually a bike ride, so bring your mountain bike and some biking gear with you when you come. Paris Gibson Park is home to another bike ride, but there will also be walks held here, as well. Shuttle services will be available to some of the National Trail Day locations, but it will not serve all destinations.
